How accurate are Hansorri's transcription and translation?
Hansorri's transcription and translation are generated by AI in real time. To stay close to what is taught, it draws on the course, its terminology and the way your professor phrases things, and it shows the Korean source together with the Chinese translation so you can always compare them.
Like any AI translation, the results are not guaranteed to be fully accurate and do not replace professional translation or your official class notes.
Which classes does Hansorri support?
Hansorri is built for Korean-taught classes for international students in Korea: major courses and Korean language institute classes alike, both in person and online. Translation currently goes from Korean into Chinese.
You can add course names, class times and terms by hand or import them from a timetable image. Every class is archived automatically, grouped by course and searchable by keyword.
Can it translate Zoom or Teams online classes?
Yes. The desktop app's online-class translation connects directly to your computer's system audio, with no re-recording. Zoom, Teams and browser lectures are all covered and use the same caption view as in-person classes.
With the picture-in-picture caption window, which always stays on top, you can keep the captions over Zoom or any other window.
Is there a delay in the translation?
Hansorri pairs sentences and keeps output latency low: it recognizes your professor's speech from the microphone in real time and shows the Korean source and the Chinese translation together, one sentence pair at a time.
How is Hansorri different from Papago, iFlytek and other translators?
Hansorri is purpose-built for Korean lectures. It supports 3 hours of continuous Korean speech recognition with live bilingual captions, archives your notes by course and builds your semester terminology, captures online-class system audio, and after class turns transcripts and translations into review notes you can export to Markdown, Obsidian, plain text or SRT subtitles. You don't have to record, paste and organize everything yourself.
How much does it cost? Is there a free option?
The iOS app is free to download, comes with a limited amount of free translation time, and has no in-app purchases. The Windows and macOS desktop apps are billed by classroom-translation hours across three plans, Entry (20 hours per cycle), Pro (40 hours) and Max (80 hours), bought month by month as you need them. Usage is counted by actual speech-recognition time.
When the hours for the current cycle run out, live translation pauses, but your earlier class records and notes stay available, and you can buy the next cycle or move to a larger plan. Exact prices and billing terms are the ones shown at checkout.
Is my data private? Are classroom recordings stored?
Classroom audio is sent to our servers in real time for recognition and translation; on the servers it is used only for that real-time processing and is not retained. Course data and session records are stored on your device by default. Only if you turn on cloud sync are course data, transcripts and translation results stored on our servers in Singapore, and you can turn cloud sync off and delete the uploaded records at any time.
Recordings saved with the iOS Classroom Audio feature are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers; they stay there until you delete them. We do not sell your personal information, and the data is not used for advertising or tracking.
Which devices does Hansorri run on?
Hansorri has an iOS app for iPhone and iPad (on the App Store) and desktop apps for Windows and macOS (separate installers for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs). One account works across all of them. There is no Android version yet, and the iOS app is not in the mainland China App Store.
